The Nutrition and Lifestyle DNA test looks at variants in up to 40 genes linked to how people respond to food, exercise, caffeine and sleep.

The genes cover areas such as lactose (MCM6) and coeliac-linked HLA types (HLA-DQ2.5, HLA-DQ8); caffeine (CYP1A2, ADORA2A); vitamins and minerals including folate (MTHFR), B12 (TCN1), vitamin C, vitamin D, magnesium and selenium; omega-3 (FADS1, FADS2); taste; weight and appetite (FTO, MC4R); blood sugar; cholesterol (LDLR, APOB); muscle and exercise (ACTN3, ACE); and sleep (CLOCK, NPAS2). Your genes don't change, so it is a one-off test.

It suits adults who want to understand their genetic tendencies before planning changes to diet or training. Results are a guide, not a diagnosis: genes are one factor alongside diet, activity and environment.

You receive a plain-English PDF report in up to 7 weeks. Samples are analysed by Randox Laboratories, accredited by UKAS to ISO 15189.
